Description:
This Universal Geneve Polerouter is a very interesting watch with a lot of history.
The watch is in great condition, with an automatic ‘Microtor’ based movement in great shape. The simple, sleek design is unlike the initial image which pops into your head when you mention ‘Polerouter’, but allows us to focus on and appreciate the smaller design elements of the watch. The glass is original, with a trapezoid date window, The crown is unsigned.
A clean, simple and round steel case houses a great example of Universal Geneve’s Caliber 218-2 ‘Microtor’ movement.
Dial:
Applied baton indexes mark off the radially brushed and finished dial. Small tritium dots sit in front of each marker. An applied Universal Geneve ‘U’ logo sits at the top of the dial, Underneath the model and manufacturer name has been printed.
A set of dauphine hands elegantly show the time, whilst a trapezoid date window and cyclops shows the day of the month.
